A Message from the Director
"Forward-thinking, community-minded Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts has exhibits that challenge the mind and inspire the heart." - Delaware Today, May, 2010
Thank you, Delaware Today; we couldn't have said it better ourselves!

Despite the economic downturn, the DCCA has continued to provide first-class exhibitions of contemporary art to our entire community -- regardless of their ability to pay, and stellar educational programs to schools and community groups. We pledged to serve our community and the community has responded! The "winter of our discontent" is behind us, thanks in large part to two extremely generous donors, and our dedicated staff has been energized and is putting together an exciting 2010-2011 season of thoughtful exhibitions, stimulating programs, and fun-filled, creative events.
However, we are by no means out of the woods and hope that you respond generously to our annual fund appeal beginning later this month. Our fiscal year ends July 31, a month later than many non-profits, which gives you an extra 31 days to put something aside for the DCCA so that we can end the year "in the black" and position ourselves favorably for the coming year.
We promise to make giving fun! Every dollar that you give to our annual fund up to $25,000 will be matched dollar for dollar by a gift from an anonymous donor. And every donor of $1,000 or more will be invited to a reception this September at a private home that boasts a risqué Picasso in the master bedroom and major works by masters of modern art throughout the home's interior and grounds. Giving has never been easier, with on-line giving and monthly options available. http://www.thedcca.org/support.html
Gratefully,
 Maxine Gaiber Executive Director
P.S. It's not too late to sign up for our Two Enchanted evenings on May
6 and June 24, to enjoy the many activities at DCCA's loop night on May 7 , including wonderful animated films by Carlos Ferguson's
students that will be featured at dusk at Justison's Landing, or to
sign your kids up for our wonderful summer camps.
