Recognition at the Talking Stick Film Festival

Many audiences have commented on the beautiful images captured in the jungle by our Director of Photography, John Petrella, and our brilliant camera crew. Last week in Santa Fe, New Mexico the festival jury made note of the same thing and gave their award for "Best Cinematography" to Yai Wanonabälewä: The Enemy God.

on behalf of our production team.

As we were among only a few non-Native filmmakers invited to the festival, it was a powerful experience. We saw stories from many Native American and other indigenous tribes. Their stories were very different from those of the Yanomamö, yet many of their films contained the same themes of shared pain but also of hope. It is an honor for us to share our Yanomamö friends' story of freedom and hope with them.

Thanks for your prayers and support.

Yours,
