Greetings! ,
This morning we heard from a friend in Venezuela; she writes:
"Please be in prayer for Bautista, or as many of you know him as - Chief Shoefoot. He
is really sick and weak, partly from sickness and partly from hunger.
We keep trying to help out by taking food down, but there are so many
kids and grandkids that he always lets them eat and goes without. And
being so few of us here now and living in such a big village, we are
scraping the bottom of the barrel as well... "O FATHER, GIVE US THIS
DAY OUR DAILY BREAD..."
He
called for the elders to come and pray for him and so I thought that I
would let you all know so you too could be praying for him. He's a
great guy and loves the Lord dearly and I know that he will appreciate
to know that you all are praying." Bautista's life story is the basis for The Enemy God film.
He was with us in Belize for several weeks during filming. Pray that
God would preserve his life and that he would be encouraged by the film
when he sees it completed.
Film Update
We want to let you know that we have a new "behind-the-scenes" video segment on our web site. You can view it on the "MEDIA" page of www.TheEnemyGod.com. This video tells some of the background of the project from the Yanomamö and our filmmakers' point-of-view. Bautista also gives his perspective in that video segment.
We are just a few days away from completing the fine-cut
of the film. Even though I have to admit I am somewhat biased, it
looks AMAZING! We have some of the initial music from the
composer which really draws out the emotions of the story. We also have the
first completed special effects shot added to this cut of the film. We
still have many weeks of work to be done in the areas of sound design,
music and special effects. Thanks for being a part of it.
