-- Prayer Requests
Greetings! Many years of prayer and effort culminated in another milestone this week - the completion of principal photography for The Enemy God film! We had to sneak in an extra half-day on Wednesday morning to pick up important shots (and of course it poured rain most of the morning) but we wrapped up 47 days of shooting in Belize with group pictures with our cast and a party for our crew. It was a celebration long in coming. And to me, it was another example of the grace we have been shown over and over again as we have pursued this vision to help the Yanomamö tell their story. There is no way to adequately express the excitement, relief, and gratitude that we felt this week. Thank you for standing with us - some of you through many years and many ups and downs. Thank you for joining with us, Tom Khazoyan –– Executive Producer, The Enemy God (Yai Wana Naba Laywa) film |

It's A Wrap! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This photo is of the last large group of cast
members we filmed in the "old village" sets on
Tuesday. Many times in the last weeks we
"wrapped" (finished their scenes) one or more
individual cast
members, but this was a day when we had a
chance to applaud our faithful and patient
warriors and women and children.
In this photo, kneeling in the front row with Christopher and myself, are two of our stars, Alejandro and Richard. Those two guys, along with a gang of other young men from around the district, formed the core of our cast for the scenes that take place in the 1950s and 60s. It was a very special experience to see them bond with each other and with the crew over the many days of filming.

This photo shows Bautista, center, with the
two Kekchi actors who portray him in two time
periods of his life. Mateo, on the left, and
Alejandro on the right. For both men, this
was their first experience in acting. They
did an amazing job.
[Note: I mis-labeled a photo in a previous e-mail. This is the photo I really wanted to show (but it hadn't been taken yet!)] Bautista is now heading home to Venezuela with Lanzo, the other community leader who came with him to help us. It was a special experience to see them bond with their new friends, especially the Kekchi actors and crew. Bautista thanked everyone for helping them to tell their story to the world.

Prayer Requests ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
? Please pray for our transition from filming into our post-production process of editing, creating special effects, music scoring, etc. The complexity of dealing with cast and crew and locations is past, but this phase of the film is just as important. It is the time where all of the pieces we have filmed come together into a whole story on film. ? Pray for our cast and crew as they resume their "normal" lives - some of them on their next film project and some back in school or work. We hope that the impact of the film-making process will ultimately be blessing to them all.
