Greetings! Just a brief note this time. Christopher (Director) and I will be leaving tomorrow for Belize where we will join Matt and our Belize crew to hold auditions for Kekchi actors and work on set construction. We would appreciate your continued prayer for the casting process. We will be holding some informational meetings in Punta Gorda where we will talk about the film project. We have discovered that many of the folks who live in the villages of the district really don't understand movies. They have probably all seen TV shows, but many have never seen a movie. So we are doing some education and envisioning as part of the casting proces. We also hope to meet with some Belizean government representatives while we are in the country. They have been very accomodating to us so far and we want to solidify our relationship with them. Thank you for joining with us, Tom Khazoyan –– Executive Producer, The Enemy God (Yai Wana Naba Laywa) film [Note: If this is the first time you have received this update, you can read all of our past reports on our web site, www.TheEnemyGod.com under the "News" section.] |

A Reminder of Why We Are Doing This ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We had some folks come by our office this week who
told us about friends they have in Cameroon, West
Africa. One
friend of theirs is a very powerful shaman
(witchdoctor). He is very influential in his
community and cautiously welcoming to outsiders, but
he lives in a dark spiritual world. Our friends say
that the Enemy will always
choose the best, brightest, and most perceptive
people as his targets.
Their description of their friend reminded me so much of the shamans we have met when visiting the Yanomamö and of the life that our partner Bautista once lived – the story we are telling in the film. Bautista tells us first-hand about what it means to be trapped in that world. It's our prayer that our film will someday be shown to this man in Cameroon. Bautista's testimony of the power of Jesus to overcome the spirits will be a powerful example to him.

Prayer Requests ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
? Please continue to pray for our casting of Kekchi
and Maya actors in Belize. We will be seeing
hundreds of people this next week. Pray
that God brings forward people whom he has prepared
to paticipate with us and the Yanomamö.
? Pray for continued progress in Venezuela on passports and other details that will help some Yanomamö co-workers to join us in Belize.
