Greetings!,

At Adolescent Counseling Services (ACS), we understand the importance of conversation and relationships. One of my most important tasks is to meet regularly with our stakeholders and community partners during the year.

In meeting with the leadership of our community partners, I am always pleased at the level of passion and commitment they have for helping local youth thrive.  Peter Fortenbaugh, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula is dedicated to ensuring that kids who live in less fortunate communities have someone fighting for them and for a better future.  Anthony Ross, Program Director of Outlet, is contagious in his efforts to provide a voice for the LGBTQQ youth in our communities.  I am always glad to hear that the superintendents of the districts we serve have the overall health and well-being of their students as a top priority.  In a recent meeting with Kevin Skelly, PAUSD Superintendent, it was assuring to hear his reaffirmed trust and confidence in the work that ACS does in the PAUSD secondary schools.

What humbles me is that we all have one goal in common and that is for our youth to be treated with justice, equality, and respect; regardless of their zip codes, emotional distress, or sexual orientation. As leaders in our communities, we all understand that our youth are our future and by raising healthy youth, the chance for our community to thrive and be successful is greater.

Dr. Philippe Rey

Sincerely,

Dr. Philippe Rey

Executive Director
