Prayers at time of wildfires
In addition to the information about fires and prayers for creation and its caretakers sent on Sunday, Pastor Brenda Baalhorn, Grace, Casper, WY, sent information about a fire burning in WY as well. Between the towns of Glenrock and Douglas, in the northern part of the Laramie Range, a fire has burned over 8 square miles and is 25% contained. She notes that one family from Grace Lutheran Church has been evacuated from their summer cabin.
We continue to pray for all who are affected by the fires throughout the Rocky Mountain Synod, and for those who work tireless to contain them.
|OUR LIFE TOGETHER|
|Fifth Sunday after Pentecost |
Almighty and merciful God, we implore you to hear the prayers of your people. Be our strong defense against all harm and danger, that we may live and grow in faith and hope, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
