Our Savior's Lutheran Church - Anton
Recognizing Our Loss and Celebrating Our Blessings...

Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Anton, Colorado, which has been a presence of faith in the eastern rural part of Colorado for 63 years, will hold its closing worship service of thanksgiving on Sunday, October 30, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. (followed by a fellowship potluck).  All who have been blessed by this church are very welcome to come. Also, pastor Hermsmeyer asks that you pray for the congregation. Your spiritual support is greatly appreciated.

Our Savior's Lutheran Church - AntonBishop Allan Bjornberg, as well as former pastors, will be present. Although we recognize the grief and sense of loss this brings to present and former members and the community, we also celebrate with thanksgiving all the blessings God provided through this ministry over the years and hope that the church will live on through the people, by the power of the Holy Spirit, multiplying in many ways as they continue to serve the Lord where they are planted.

The congregation would love to gift their church contents to other churches in need. A list is forthcoming. You may also contact Pastor Teri Hermsmeyer by email.

Congregation Constitution

Updates Are Essential

At the ELCA Churchwide Assembly, constitutional updates were adopted, which were also approved at the recent Rocky Mountain Synod Council meeting.

If your congregation's constitution was amended following the 2009 ELCA Churchwide Assembly and included the amendments passed at that time, use the 2011 Amendments to the Model Constitution for Congregations for a quick update.

If your congregation's constitution has not been amended for more than two years, refer to ELCA Model Constitution for Congregations 2011 and Guidelines for Use of Model Constitution for Congregations 2011.

Links to all documents are on the RMS website.
