Rocky Mountain Synod

April 12, 2011
Greetings!

May Landscape newsletter ready to download and reproduce in bulletins and newsletters

Six times a year every congregation receives one hard copy of the Landscape newsletter (along with the monthly financial statement) for the purpose of reproducing it in a newsletter or bulletin. Some congregations send a link to it in their email newsletter. Every congregation is encouraged to share it as a key piece of communication from the Rocky Mountain Synod communications office.

Issues are always available and archived at rmselca.org/news.  Or click to download this new May 2011 edition using this direct link to the .pdf.

Landscape includes rostered change listings, as well as a synod financial snapshot. This month's edition includes an introduction to the RMS Video Project: Our Daily Bread, as well as articles about technology in the synod, Border Immersions, and Mission Partners.

THIS IS WORTH $43,500 OVERALL TO THE RMS!

OUR LIFE TOGETHER
Palm Sunday
Everlasting God, in your endless love for the human race you sent our Lord Jesus Christ to take on our nature and to suffer death on the cross. In your mercy enable us to share in his obedience to your will and in the glorious victory of his resurrection, through Christ who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Lenten journey imageLenten Journey is a commissioned original multi-movement work portraying the biblical readings of the Lent season in a dramatic way.    It is scored for choir, piano, strings, and soloists that sometimes represent the biblical characters.  Lenten Journey is an on-going project; new movements from other Lenten readings are added every year it is performed, making every year's Good Friday service different than the last.  Community of Joy's Good Friday service is unique - a perfect choice for those looking for something new and meaningful during this season.
