...in the City ...on the Border
The first in a series of Rocky Mountain Synod video stories will be available for use in congregations in May, on DVD and download.
As a companion and follow-up to our 2011 Assembly Theme, "BREAD" will be a resource for congregations to reflect on how we are all connected together and how we as a synod are the "Bread of Life," given for others.
Thes first videos are a glimpse of four Rocky Mountain Synod ministries:
Our Savior Lutheran Church, Alamagordo, NM First Lutheran Church, Gypsum, CO Urban Servant Corps, Denver, CO Cristo Rey, El Paso, TX Supplemental materials will be provided, included a Bible Study and a brief devotional/reflection for use in small groups, forum classes, youth groups, council meetings, fellowship groups, and worship.
Additional videos in the series will be released and distributed throughout the coming year. The first set of videos is funded through a grant from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. The videos are produced by retired Pastor Larry Foreman's Sunmark Productions. He produced the video series in the early days of the ELCA called "Mosaic," and he brings decades of expertise to this project.
