It is Nationwide Video's pleasure to announce the addition of 100-BARCO I6BK LED Tiles and Processing to our rental inventory.
 
LED tiles provide an excellent alternative to projection technology when you have little control over your ambient light situation in the venue and where space is a premium. If your show requires an image under bright ambient lights, LED is an excellent choice. LED without a doubt is more expensive than projection for the same size image, however in a bright ambient light situation - "Do it right or don't do it at all"!!
 
BARCO I-Lite, 6 millimeter, black surfaced tiles - (I6BK) are "indoor" tiles. Spacing is 6 millimeters pixel to pixel. The tiles display an image with contrast of 3000:1. I6BK LED produces 2000 NIT's of brightness. Each tile measures 17.6" x 17.6" and weighs 35 pounds. The tiles will arrive in cases of (6) you will also receive a cable trunk, processors, power distribution and ground or flown support frames or bumpers.
 
To establish a set-up timeline of an LED wall: when we speak the language of LED and we say 6 x 6, that means 6 tiles x 6 tiles or 36 tiles total. The dimensions of a 6 tile x 6 tile wall is 8'.75" x 8'.75" square. A wall of this size can be set up and operational in an 8 hour day. The wall itself, in a flown set or ground support set can be built in 2-3 hours by two technicians. You will need to establish your power feeds from the house power panel to our Motion Labs power distribution unit, then run power from the Distro to the LED wall and the processor - this will take 1-2 hours. At that point you have your wall built and powered within a 5-6 hour window maximum. By then you should be to the point that you are displaying an image through the processor inside of 8 hours. Please keep in mind that you also have a Nationwide Video LED Professional technical support person available to you by phone 24/7/365 as well.
 
Nationwide has also purchased both the BARCO LED Pro and BARCO DX700 processors. The LED Pro provides you a simple front panel interface for source selection and seamless switching. The DX 700 is a multi-window video processor designed as a versatile front end to all BARCO LED products. Both products can be operated through the front panel of the unit or with BARCO's Director Toolset.

 

When you place your LED Wall order, we will ask you whether you plan on ground supporting that wall or flying it.
 
For a flown application, Nationwide will provide you "bumpers". For example, if you were doing a 6 tile x 6 tile wall as noted above, you would need (2) triple bumpers. Each triple bumper supports (3) tiles. If you did a 5 tile by 5 tile wall, you would need (1) triple bumper and (1) double bumper = the ability to fly a 5 tile by 5 tile wall.
 
You as the customer on site would be responsible for providing the chain motors and handle all rigging with your staff or the venue. 
 
Nationwide Video has hired LED Professional Brett Thierbach to take the lead on this new product offering. Brett has several years experience in and out of the United States as the Lead LED Technician for both Corporate and Tour environments. As our senior LED Specialist, Brett will be accessible 24/7/365 to answer any questions that you may have regarding a show, set-up of technical issue. This should offer you great peace of mind that Nationwide Video will once again lead the way with a "quality" product offering. Anyone can "own" gear, the value is how the product is supported and quality controlled that will make the difference at "Show Time".
 
We are happy to announce that we have taken delivery of all the necessary components and are ready to support your next show need.
