Nationwide Video now offers the Telex Wired Intercom System. Our system is set up to support medium sized meetings with up to fourteen RTS station capability and can accomodate an additional ten stations of customer supplied Clearcom.
The system is shipped in a single vertical case with three drawers and a small removable rack of electronics. The removable rack is designed to take up minimal table top space while offering a very flexible, easy to use and reliable system.
The kit contains (1) Two-channel power supply, (1) Two-channel RTS base station, (1) SSA324 Clearcom interface, and a small powered local speaker. The system has full duplex capability and the option of isolating either of the two channels for privacy, or running a full open party line in the combined mode. One other nice feature is that this is a balanced system and can be inserted directly into your FOH mix console for monitoring or another intercom system if necessary.
This system has been designed to interface easily with our Sony CCU-TX50 based cameras and our DFS-700 switcher, allowing intercom to travel through the triax cable out to the camera position cleanly and without running additional XLR cable to each position - a real time savings. Headsets can be connected directly to the back of the cameras and for other operating positions, beltpacks are provided for each individual station.
We also equip the kits with six lightweight Telex PH-88 crew headsets and four Telex directors headsets. Up to fourteen stations can be connected to this system directly into a convenient XLR bus panel on the back of the rack.
