Captain Obvious Strikes Again
 Simple Questions, Simple Answers
You know how the Canada geese fly in a V shape? And do you know why one side is longer than the other? Answer: because there are more geese on that side.
Every fall, as the geese make their annual trek to warmer climes, this joke makes us laugh. Why? Because it's painfully obvious. We're expecting some convoluted answer about biological drives and the migration routes of northern birds, but no. There are more birds on that side. That's all.
Okay, Captain Obvious, so why does Grafton Village Cheese taste better? Maybe the answer is not quite as basic, but it's pretty simple: we use premium milk, perfectly natural ingredients, and traditional handcrafted methods to ensure personal attention. And then we age it naturally. No additives, no funny business. It's pretty obvious to us. Next time you're choosing cheese, think about the geese, and then think about us.

Big Cheese, Baby
Not perfect, but perfectly good Sometimes when we make three-pound wheels of one-year old cheddar, the wheels come out slightly under three pounds, which is good news for you. It just so happens that right now, we have quite a few "babies", as we call them. Full-size three-pound wheels are $35.99, but this week, babies are just $27.99. The weights range from 2.5 to 2.8 pounds, and we don't have very many. You can even order them now and have them shipped for the holidays. But hurry. These babies won't last.

Meet Our Cheesemakers The Second in a Series Eliot Morse has dairy in his blood. His family's farm recently celebrated 100 years operated by the same family. He started making cheese for Grafton Village Cheese in 2008 and helps out driving the whey truck from time to time. He's also engaged in several educational programs sponsored by Grafton and appreciates the community involvement. Having experienced the ups and downs of the dairy industry for the past 20 years or so, Eliot values "the concern that Grafton Village Cheese has for the smaller, local dairies that it supports."
Keep checking our site for more cheesemaker bios. And say hello to Eliot.
