Gone are the days when gifts were simple.  For Dad, a tie.  A cardigan. A matchbox car.  Now it's all African safaris or fantasy baseball camp or a limited edition combination espresso maker/panini press.  But look, here's the thing:  dads like stuff.  Little stuff, big stuff, lots of stuff, buckets of stuff.   Could be a bunch of fishing stuff.   Some fixing-things stuff.  Maybe even some cool stuff from those infomercials on Sunday mornings.  A successful gift of stuff has one very important quality, though. Quantity.  You want Dad to be entertained looking through his stuff. You want to hear, "Look at this" and "How about that" and "I love this stuff."  Opening a gift of a tie takes about 20 seconds.  You're looking for a good five minutes or so.  Naturally, we're here to help.  Introducing the Bucket O' Stuff.  You've got your Grafton Maple Smoked Cheddar wheel, your Grafton Four Star Four-Year Old Cheddar bar, your box of Vermont Common Crackers, your jar of maple mustard, your hunk of Vermont Smoke & Cure smoked pepperoni, your Vermont-shaped cutting board, and of course, your slicer for cutting the cheese.  We're estimating about eight minutes of gift-giving, with another couple of minutes of jokes thrown in for good measure.

We just opened our brand new relocated Specialty Cheese & Wine Shoppe right in the heart of Grafton Village, next to the Old Tavern at Grafton.  The new store features a fine wine section, a large selection of excellent cheeses, gourmet foods, fresh breads and more.  Come visit!

Vermont Cheesemakers FestivalPlease get your tickets now for the second annual Vermont Cheesemakers Festival Sunday, July 25 at Shelburne Farms in Shelburne, Vermont.  Last year sold out well ahead of time, and even though the ticket count has been increased this year, we expect another sell-out.  Here's the line-up:  50 cheesemakers, 20 wineries and breweries, 15 artisan food producers, demos, dinner, and....what? Yes, we agree.  Quite possibly the perfect event.
Six-Year Old Cheddar? Five-Star Club Members Get First Crack in July!

5-star   Do you love our Five-Star cheddar? Here's a little tidbit you may be interested in:  We will have a limited amount of Six-Year old cheddar available in July. And if you're a member of the Five-Star Club, you get first crack at it, with your special $5 shipping benefit.
   If you join our Five-Star Club, you'll get a shipment of a two-pound block every month until November automatically. The cost is $35.99 per two-pound block, with $5 shipping for club members.
   We have a limited number of club memberships available, so please fill out this form as soon as possible to guarantee your spot. We will need to have a phone conversation with you before the shipments can start.
   If you want some Five-Star but don't want to join the Club, no worries. You can order it here as long as supplies last. But $5 shipping is only for Club members, and Club members come first!

Did You Know
Do You Care About Ingredients?  We Do.

 
That's why we only use natural ingredients, even in our flavored cheddars.
· We don't use milk powders or condensed milk, just pure farm fresh milk that's delivered daily to our plants.
· U.S. cheese producers are not required to list milk powders and condensed milk in their ingredient statements. You may want to ask.
· We use real granulated garlic in our Garlic Cheddar; others use artificial garlic flavoring.
· We use Dalmatian sage rub and sage oil extract in our Sage Cheddar; others use artificial herb flavoring.
· We use pure horseradish extract in our new Horseradish Cheddar; others use artificial horseradish flavoring. (coming soon online)
· We smoke our Maple Smoked Cheddar with maple wood chips and add nothing else; others use artificial maple flavoring or liquid smoke.
