We Declare....
Cheesy Changes
We've all heard the term "cheesy." And we all know what it means. It's the guy wearing the reindeer tie with
the blinking red nose at the office holiday party. Or taking your cat for a walk on a leash. Or regifting something back to the original
giver. Tacky, corny, maybe a little over
the top, and definitely wrong.
But we want to make a
stand here. To us, cheesy is the
ultimate compliment. Cheese, being the
perfect food, should also be a positive reference. So as of today, we declare "cheesy" to mean
excellent, tasteful, and in general, awesome.
So work with us
here. When your friend gets a new
haircut, tell her it looks cheesy. When
you open the combination keyring/flashlight/pencil sharpener at the gift swap,
say that it's the cheesiest gift you've ever received. And when you RSVP to the black tie charity
event, write in that you're looking forward to a truly cheesy evening. It will catch on, we promise. And here's the deal: if you have to explain that cheesy means
good, ask the person if they've ever had Grafton Village cheddar. Done.
