Just for fun and to liven things up a bit for the kids, we decided to bring in a costume character every Saturday this summer!

We're kicking things off this week with Skippyjon Jones, the star of one of our all-time favorite read-alouds books.

Come down to see us at the Farmers Market at 10:00 am and then by Bookworks at the Jared Coffin House Garden at 11:00. Ole!

We are thrilled to be selling the gorgeous new DVD Nantucket by Nature from Kit Noble and Nantucket Films.

It is 45 minutes of beautifully captured scenes of the island's natural epicness. This production is unlike anything you've seen before of the island you thought you knew by heart.

Lastly congratulations and thank you to Elin Hilderbrand on a hugely successful launch week. Congratulations because Elin got the word on Wednesday that SILVER GIRL will debut at a stunning #6 on the New York Times bestseller list. A truly amazing accomplishment!

Thank you to Elin both for celebrating the launch with us at her signing on launch day, and for the lovely blog post she wrote in praise of Bookworks. (Dick Burns loved the praise, though he would like to have the record show that his hair is more "silver fox gray" than "fly-away white"...)

Before I let Elin leave for her son's championship little league game I made her sign the Mini Bookmobile, as evidenced by the image above. It was a great addition to the little car's collection.
