Bookworks these days is like one giant basket of goodies. I urge you to hop on in and see if I'm right! In addition to great new books, we have awe-inspiring hand-painted eggs, amazingly cute seed packets, radical spikey backpacks, and beautiful totes hand-sewn by a friend I used to work with at Bartlett's Farm. Oh and chocolate. What more could an Easter Bunny want?
Happy Hopping, Wendy H.
| Sneak peek at Bookworks' New Ride |
 |
|
We are absolutely tickled orange at all the great attention our new ride has been getting... we bought the car formerly known as the Penguin Mini, a one-of-a-kind autographed bookmobile. Pictured here are the fine folks of Penguin Putnam publishers, passing the torch.
Check out this fabulous article in Saturday's Boston Globe for all the details, and watch for more news as we do a re-launch. A Car-Signing party for Nantucket authors is in the works!

Huge heartfelt thanks to everyone who took the time to respond to our survey. (If you haven't had a chance to do so yet, you can click here.)
I wrote up a blog post with the results so as not to overwhelm the casual reader of this e-blast. Here's that post on nantucketblogworks.com

| Buzz Williams CD |

We have a new addition to our local music offerings--Nantucket's own Buzz Williams recently brought in a great cd of his "fingerstyle guitar and slide work". On his website, Buzz says he interprets his paintings through his music. What a wicked cool thing to do.

| Chamber Business Book Club |
 |
|
There are some great new programs going on at the Nantucket Chamber of Commerce, one being a business book club! This month's selection is "The E-Myth Revisited" a book that I heard great things about from an entrepreneurial guru that I had the good fortune to meet back at a bookseller event in January.
The club convenes over a brown bag lunch, and meets next Tuesday April 26th Noon-1:00pm. 20% discount
Also, the Chamber has a fun auction package that would make a great experience for Daffodil Weekend. Check it out and spread the word!
