Saturday Aug. 1st 3:30-4:30 pm ~ Upstairs at Arno's

In conjunction with the Nantucket Comedy Festival we welcome
Andy Borowitz & Olivia Gentile
"When a Real Journalist Marries a Fake One"

Andy BorowitzOlivia Gentile

This married duo is almost TOO talented, but we'll overlook that. : )

Life List

Readers, you may recall my praise for Olivia Gentile's website a few month's back. It's one of my favorite teasers for books ever. WELL, turns out she's married to Andy Borowitz, of Borowitz Report fame, and turns out he's an author too. (And a fellow Clevelander along with me & Chris Morris of Arno's, but that's another story...)

They'll be on island for the Comedy Festival and had a free afternoon on Saturday, which they are graciously filling with a gratis event for our viewing pleasure. The performance involves a fake journalist (Borowitz) interviewing a real one (Gentile) concerning her book, which concerns a woman who thought she was dying & set off to see the most amazing birds in the world. We'll have copies of their books on hand and fun will MOST CERTAINLY be had by all.

These rockstars deserve a great island welcome, so please do try to join us! Bring everyone you know you likes birds, journalism, or has a sense of humor.

Monday August 3rd 7:00 pm at Cisco Brewers

Woody Tasch will talk about his new book:
"Slow Money: Investing as if Food, Farms, & Fertility Mattered."

Woody, a former Nantucketer and founding member of Sustainable Nantucket, is a nationally-known and well-respected thought leader in the world of responsible investing.

 Slow Money

The Slow Money movement is gaining ground and praise worldwide as localism resonates more and more with consumers. Given his history on Nantucket, Woody's thoughts are sure to have great relevance for us on the island. Please join us at the brewery for this important event.

Proceeds will benefit Sustainable Nantucket, the organization that brings you The Nantucket Farmers and Artisans Market each week.

As always, if you're not able to make it to our author events, just call 508-228-4000 to have a copy personalized & shipped or held for you at the store.

Cheers, Wendy Hudson & The Bookworks Team
