Nantucket Boo-Works Loves This Town!
Lots o' Books and Tons o' Characters

Here are some members of our extendend family pre- candy craziness. (Dick Burns chose not to wear a gown...)

Halloween is On Sale

We usually pack up all the Halloween stuff and store it, but this year it's ALL ON SALE!!! 50% off all the stuff, 40% off books. Come relieve our storage burden and get some goodies. You'll be so psyched when you unearth it next year.

It won't stay around long though, so come in by Sunday Nov. 6th.

Fabulous Fall Hours

Don't forget, we're still open the insanely wonderful hours of 10 am to 10:30 pm, 7 days a week... and we will be right on through the holiday season!

Red Tickets are Here!

Couldn't believe it myself, but 'tis the season. We're rolling out the rolls of red tickets, one per every $25 purchase, as it ever was, for the Christmas Eve Main Street drawing. What a great tradition. Thanks go to the Nantucket Chamber of Commerce for pulling it off every year!

Coming Soon: Electronic Gift Cards

Keep your ear to the ground... BookSense electronic gift cards are on their way! They are going to be THE gift of choice this holiday season... I hope!

Get Crafty

I don't know about you, but when the sun goes down at 4:30 I just want to get busy on some crafts! Our shelves are well-stocked with great new and innovative craft books, with especially good knitting, crochet, and woodworking selections. Check them out and make something special for someone special. It's so satisfying.

| Greetings!

We always have fun on Halloween, but this year more than ever. Thanks go out to all the contestants in our Book Character Costume Contest. We're pleased to announce the winners. Each will receive (in addition to great island- wide acclaim and bragging rights) a $10 Gift Certificate for Bookworks. And remember... We're all super-winners when we read!

Toby Glidden as the Phantom from "Phantom of the Opera"; Nellie Morley as Robin from "Robin Hood"; and Amy Harris as Pippi from "Pippi Longstocking".

Notice no honorable mentions in the older age groups... we need a higher participatory ratio, so get planning for next year, folks!

Contest Winners in the Bonus Category: Family
goddards

I hadn't thought about this category until the Goddard Family showed up as a fabulous cast of characters from "The Sword in the Stone." Royal!

Winners, you can stop by to pick up your gift certificates any time after 10am on Thursday, Nov. 3rd. I really hope I got everyone's names right, my apologies if I didn't.

Thanks again to one and all. Hope we see you soon-- this is such a great time of year to stop in, hang out, and have a good read.

Ta ta for now,
