Cary is a renowned photographer who lives year-
round on Nantucket with her husband, musician Andy
Bullington, and daughter Virginia.
She, more than anyone else I know, embraces the
artistic life and natural beauty of the island, and
reminds me constantly how lucky we are to be living
in such a special place.

Cary Hazlegrove's love for Nantucket
is palpable in her photography. Her latest book,
Nantucket: The Quiet Season ,
beautifully captures the island in the off-season,
and what better time to celebrate that than Labor
Day
Weekend?
In addition, Cary also had the distinct honor
of
photographing the New York City Firefighters for the
hunky 2006 FDNY Calendar. Join us
Saturday to have her personalize both of
these must-haves!

The last few weeks on Nantucket have been among
the most perfect in recent years. For those sad to
see the summer waning, this book might help ease
the transition, for it shows that there is much to
celebrate in the off-season as well. Indeed, it's many
islanders' favorite time of year.
