It's Bike Week in Daytona. The snow is melting across Canada. BUT BE CAREFUL.... before you succumb to that urge to ride, make sure the road is ready to receive you! This year's winter has caused severe deterioration of most Canadian roadways, and there's the usual supply of sand and grit and salt that will cause a loss of traction. Plus, with temperatures at borderline freezing, some of the melt may result in black ice! Excitement, maybe, but dangerous... definitely! And, if you're an off-roader, please respect the terrain that is so fragile at this time of the year.
So, as you get ready to seize the moment, remember to RIDE SAFELY and RESPONSIBLY! |

JUST EAST OF TORONTO... MCC off-road members are engaged in a battle to keep the trails [that they built] open for motorcyclists. Northumberland (NTR) Trail Riders and the Ontario Federation of Trail Riders (OFTR) are engaged in a battle with the local council.  THE FOUNDATION'S ROLL OF HONOUR is a place where you can tell the story of someone in the motorcycling world has affected you. For a modest donation you can add the story of your retiring club president, or give a really unique gift to a rider "who has everything", or acknowledge someone who is always "out there" advocating for riders' right.
