Proper Mental Attitudes
| "Quality
is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention,
sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution; it
represents the wise choice of many alternatives." William A. Foster
"Quality
in a product or service is not what the supplier puts in. It is what
the customer gets out and is willing to pay for. A product is not
quality because it is hard to make and costs a lot of money, as
manufacturers typically believe. This is incompetence. Customers pay
only for what is of use to them and gives them value. Nothing else
constitutes quality." Peter F. Drucker

Sunny Side of Life | Say Something Positive
A husband and wife
are getting ready for bed. The wife is standing in front of a
full-length mirror taking a hard look at herself. "You know,
dear," she says, "I look in the mirror, and I see an old woman. My face
is all wrinkled, my hair is grey, my shoulders are hunched over, I've
got fat legs, and my arms are all flabby." She turns to her husband and
says, "Tell me something positive to make me feel better about myself." He
studies hard for a moment thinking about it and then says in a soft,
thoughtful voice, "Well, there's nothing wrong with your eyesight."

From the desk of Bob:
What an absolutely beautiful Fall we are having here in Dakota Territory! I just planted my third crop of lettuce and spinach in my greenhouse. Yummy! Plus, lots of tomatoes are finally ripening.
Working in my gardens and greenhouse are such good therapy for me. There is nothing like working in the dirt in my opinion. I just love all the green growing things.
Have a great day,
Bob

SEEDS of SUCCESS by Bob Prentice

Are You Ready?
Are you prepared? I know that I want to be. Every day, you and I each have the
opportunity to make numerous choices and decisions. I have discovered
that being ready for the opportunities that come my way makes it easier
for me to make wise choices and decisions. One of the many benefits of
being ready for opportunities is an increased sense of confidence.
Feeling confident makes me more willing to step out and take a risk than
I would be if I wasn't ready. Of course it goes without saying, success
is much more likely when I am well prepared. So, how can one be ready for
opportunities when they come? I believe the answer to that question is
simply this: You must have a plan. We've all heard it said, "Fail to
plan, you plan to fail." This is so true. I would venture to say that
having a plan in your head-while it is better than no plan at all-is not
enough. By writing down and thinking out on paper your strategies and
plans for the future, you can see things from a whole different
perspective. Planning helps you to see where you are and visualize where
you are going. Through planning you will begin to enjoy the success you
desire in life because you will be ready to make wise decisions when
the opportunities come.
Are you ready for the future, for
opportunities, for problems or challenges, or for a major change in your
life? The time to get ready is now! So as you grab that pen &
paper, keep this thought in mind:
"Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance"
