Sunny Side of Life
|
|
A little turtle begins to climb a tree slowly. After long hours of effort, he reaches the top, jumps into the air waving his front legs, until he crashes heavily into the ground with a hard knock on his shell.
After recovering his consciousness, he starts to climb the tree again, jumps again, and knocks the ground heavily again.
The little turtle persisted again and again while a couple of birds, sitting at the edge of a branch watched the turtle in pain.
Suddenly the female bird says to the male, "Hey dear, I think it's time to tell our little turtle he's adopted."

From the desk of Bob:
It sure has been tough lately making decisions about the many facets of life. I do not know about you but I sure have had a difficult time with some of the challenges hitting me. Yes, I know, I know that we have to face the challenges with a positive attitude and all, but, wow this economy has really tested my skills and attitudes. I also know that I am not in this boat alone.
One thing I know for sure is that we must be proactive, on each decision, and especially following through and completing our due diligence required in every situation that we are facing. This smart practice will save us many, many headaches in the future.
To
your success, Bob

 Wise Decision Making!
Ben Franklin was
known as a master of decision making; he consistenly made really good
decisions. Good decision making is a skill I desire for my life, as I
am sure we all do. Years ago, I learned that with every choice there is
a decision to be made and that even making no decision is still making
a decision.
When
Ben Franklin was faced with a difficult decision, he would take a piece
of paper and make two lines on it, like the letter "T". He would take
time to gather all the facts and list anything that was causing him to
hesitate on one side of the "T" and then any reasons in favor of taking
a certain action or direction on the other side of the "T".
I
have found Dr. Franklin's method of making decisions very helpful in my
own life; perhaps you will, too. By simply getting the information out
of your head and down on paper, you are able to see more clearly the
facts and which side weighs the heavier. This is extrememly beneficial
in helping one to think through the process and make a truly good
decision.
"A wise man makes his own decisions; an ignorant man follows public opinion." -Chinese Proverb
