Winter Solstice;
a time for inner reflection.
Time now to retreat, to examine your life
and shelf your distractions for the remainder of the year. As we put the finishing touches on 2011, it is important to take stock of our success and to focus on the things that bring joy: our family, homes, our planet and
loved ones. In the Northern hemisphere, the Winter Solstice marks the shortest day of the year. The darkness calls us to retreat, to quietly search our souls, adding the garnish to the year. In my house, this meant removing
worn out structures, including walls and windows. For the past few weeks, the computer was put to sleep, and up to the minute reports on FB and Twitter came to a grinding halt. Truthfully no one seemed to notice my absence. During this working meditation, the year in retrospect was extremely busy with travel, but the greatest shift was exercising self-care; subtle but profound.
2012 promises the launch of the book Pearls of Wisdom; 30 Inspirational Ideas to Live Your Best Life Now on April 16, Travel to Mexico and Peru. a group mentoring program, and individual integrative coaching.
Desert Holistic Network continues to expand with over 150,000 visits a month to the website.

First, take a walk giving thanks to the mother earth.
Afterward, make a list of everything you have accomplished; be generous with yourself. Note: All my major achievements for 2012 were the ones that spirit orchestrated; my part was making myself available to say yes! So say yes to your life this holiday season and into the new year!
