Oktoberfest

 

 

First Chapter Event of the new season - Annual Picnic

 

                 Oktoberfest-themed Picnic    -    Sunday, September 16, 4 to 7 pm

 

Home of Hildred and Ed Tornberg, 14417 Crestview Dr. in Novelty, OH 44072

(Russell Twp) near Routes 87 and 306, 3 miles south of Chesterland.   Park along frontage on the east side of Crestview Dr.  Use driveway for drop-off access.

In case of severely inclement weather, the picnic will move to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 11900 Chillicothe Rd. (Rt. 306) in Chesterland. 

 

Our hosts will supply cook-out meats and soft drinks. In the spirit of Oktoberfest,

AGO will provide a keg of Great Lakes beer. If you prefer wine please bring your choice. 

We are asked to bring an appetizer, salad, or dessert to share. If you have a folding

lawn chair bring it along. Dress is very casual.

 

Appetizers and outdoor games begin at 4 pm so that those involved with Rosh Hashanah

services can join us for fellowship before sundown.  Our hosts have a 10-rank Ruggles

pipe organ, a piano and a 1912 parlor organ in their home.  Bring music to try any of

these instruments after dinner.

or email: etornberg@windstream.net. This will be a great time to meet new colleagues

and to catch up on each other's news as we begin an exciting year together.

Driving directions: Some roads are closed in the area. Suggested route from Westside to Eastside is I-480 east to I-271 north, then take Exit #29 at Chagrin Blvd (Rt. 87) and follow 87 east into Geauga County.

 

Tornberg residence is at 14417 Crestview Dr. (440-338-3268)

Crestview Dr. is ½ mile E of Rt. 306 off Pekin Rd.
