CLEVELAND CELEBRATES
FIRST-EVER ORGAN WEEKEND

The Cleveland Chapter of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) will highlight the beauty, diversity, and wealth of pipe organs in Cleveland and its surrounding communities in a weekend of concerts and demonstrations Friday, October 28, through Sunday, October 30, 2011. Cleveland has a long history associated with the development of the pipe organ in the United States, and over the last century has produced become the home of instruments of international reputation created by builders from all over North America as well as a number of European countries. The aim of the Cleveland Chapter AGO is to increase awareness among the general public of the music and culture surrounding these fascinating instruments.

There is much more information to come over the next few weeks about this important event that the Cleveland Chapter Executive Committee hopes will involve all AGO Cleveland members.  Stay tuned!
