NJ Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Thomas Bracken's
statement on Gov. Chris Christie's Budget Address:
The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce applauds the fiscal discipline represented by Gov. Christie's budget which continues the much-needed efforts of the Christie administration to restore the state's fiscal health.
Many of the provisions in the governor's budget, such as his proposed tax measures, will help generate economic growth, job creation and help promote New Jersey as a business friendly state. We look forward to working with the governor, the Legislature and all interested parties in forwarding these critical measures.
As more and more states come to grips with their own fiscal issues, the State Chamber urges the governor and the Legislature to work together to quickly enact pro-growth measures that benefit all the citizens of New Jersey and to make their bipartisan efforts to restore fiscal discipline to New Jersey a model for other states.
