Investing in JusticeThe Chicago Bar Foundation's 2010
Investing in Justice Campaign raised a record $1.1 million for legal aid services. The CBF thanks
the
thousands of Chicago lawyers, law firms, corporate law
departments, and
other law-related businesses for their efforts. Because of this
generosity, the CBF was able to award
a total
of $1.12 million in grants to 36 Chicago area pro bono and legal aid
organizations. These grants fund a continuum of services to thousands of
people
in the Chicago
area. These grants help people in critical need of legal assistance. They assist in a wide range of areas
including
web-based information and resources, legal aid hotlines, advice desks,
legal
clinics, extended representation and significant impact litigation.
The Investing in Justice Campaign has been included in this newsletter because so
many of our members are also active with the CBF. For further details
