SBAC Happy Hours provide our members, and their guests, an opportunity to meet, catch-up and share information about their businesses.  Indeed, numerous SBAC members have been introduced at our functions and are now doing business together.  Photographs from our past two Happy Hours can be viewed here.  Please RSVP with Blanca at blanca@smallbusinessadvocacycouncil.org if you will be able to join us.

SBAC Blog

Last week's SBAC Blog focused on "Angel" investing.  Our blog highlighted legislation passed by the Illinois General Assembly which if signed into law, will provide an income tax credit for early or "angel" investments in qualified new business ventures.  The credit shall be equal to 25% of the amount invested and may be carried forward for a period of 5 years.  For complete details on the status of the INC TX-ANGEL INVESTMENT CREDIT (SB3710) go to Illinois General Assembly.

WSJ logoWe also posted an article from The Wall Street Journal focusing on how business owners and entrepreneurs can obtain financing from angel investors.  The article, How To Win Angel Investor Funding, was written by Colleen Debaise.
