CSA add-ons are mushrooming!
We are delighted to offer certified organic cremini mushrooms for delivery with your CSA beginning with next week's deliveries. Cremini mushrooms are a firmer, darker, and more mature version of the typical white button  mushroom, making them another versatile addition to our online store. Sometimes called "baby bellas," they are the smaller and younger version of meaty portabella mushrooms.
These creminis are from our friends at River Valley in Burlington, Wisconsin. Chances are that you know them from your favorite farmers market, where they sell five varieties of fresh mushrooms, other seasonal produce, and a wide variety of pickled mushrooms and other veggies as well as sauces, spreads, dips, and salsas.
Regardless of your delivery day, be sure to order them early. To bring them to you as fresh as possible, we'll offer them each week in limited quantities, packaged in 1 lb increments in a brown paper bag. Whether you order them this week or not, we'd love your feedback on your likelihood of ordering, how often, whether you'd like different size options or different varieties.
