A time of transition . . .
You can feel it in the air, and you'll be seeing it in next week's box: winter squash offering a true taste of Fall, the return of our sweet Hakurei turnips, and a rare appearance of bok choy (those of you who were with us in 2011 will remember being inundated when bok choy was

our sole Asian green). These new and returning items will join the last (really? maybe?) of our tomatoes and peppers. Our lettuce is flourishing with the cooler temps and will be in the box most weeks through November.
The change in crops reflects the transition from primarily heat-loving field crops to cool-weather hoop house crops that have been sown over the past several weeks as the tomato crop faded.
We're also transitioning from the Mid Season to the Late Season and are glad to be bringing most of you along! We will also be welcoming new customers who know that their farmers market days

are numbered and/or their gardens are petering out. These changes will necessitate some tweaks to our delivery routes, so bear with us as we get used to some new addresses. Your delivery day won't change and we'll do our best to adhere to our 6pm to 11pm time frame--and for most of you that will be during the heart of that time. If you haven't yet signed up for the Late Season, you'restill welcome and encouraged to do so, but to give us time to make up our new routes, we ask that you sign up by the end of the day this Sunday, September 23. If you can't remember your share size or delivery zone or simply have other questions, don't hesitate to be in touch.
