Labor Day is coming....
but Tomato Mountain never rests! We'll make deliveries Monday evening as usual on September 3. Please review your schedule and let us know if you won't be able to receive your Monday box at the end of the holiday weekend.

They're baaack . . .

The first of our late-season Asian greens should make an appearance next week, making next week's box nicely greens-heavy.  Those of you who were with us in the Early Season saw lots of those overstuffed boxes.  Unlike the summerfest komatsuna leaves in bowl spring, there's more variety of produce available so there will be a nice balance of greens with other produce.

The first one reappearing is called Summerfest Komatsuna, right. It grows like bok choy but the leaves are similar to spinach or kale.  It's sometimes known as
'mustard spinach,' but the taste is milder than most mustard greens. Great for adding to salads in their younger iteration and good for braising or sauteing at any size.   Be sure to check out our Asian Greens page for recipe ideas, and Google around for others.  Be ready for the other Asian greens coming down the pike this fall:  bok choy, tatsoi, yukina savoy, and red rain.  Some of these will also show up as baby greens in our mesclun mix.

~ A la Carte ~ maple syrup 32oz
