Inventory-Sharing Best Practices
For wholesaler-distributors, "Inventory-sharing" consists of two activities:
- sourcing items from other distributors to fulfill the needs of your customers
- selling items you have in stock to other distributors who need your items for their end-customers
How much of either of these activities takes place depends on change of behavior by three different types of participants in a wholesale channel: - wholesaler-distributors
- manufacturers
- marketing/buying groups
to learn what "best practices" each of these three groups can adopt to increase the results of inventory-sharing between peer wholesaler-distributors. |
