Preschool News & Announcements
Fall Extra-Curricular Classes
Space is limited; however, still available for Fall classes. Our extra-curricular classes allow your child to enjoy fun and enriching courses while broadening their experiences without even leaving the campus. Full payment for classes should be submitted by Friday, September 17th (to the wooden drop box). There will be no adds, drops, or refunds after Monday, September 21st. Don't miss out! Please contact Ms. Dodson for more information at cdodson@fairmontschools.com.
Grandparent's Day
We were overjoyed to see all our special visitors Friday, September 14th at our annual Grandparent's Day. We at Fairmont believe that grandparents are an integral part of our community, value their wisdom, and appreciate everything they do. Preschool and Elementary students sang songs to begin the festivities, and we had a wonderful time. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
Back to School Picnic and Sock Hop
Date: Friday, September 14, 2012
Time: 4:00pm - 7:00pm
Location: Historic Anaheim Main Athletic Field
Come and join us for 50's style family fun! Fun activities include: obstacle course, bounce house, limbo contest, costume contest, DJ music, and games. The Burnt Truck and the Dogzilla Gourmet Food trucks will be on site from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. selling gourmet sliders, hot dogs, and much more (cash only). The trucks have many items to choose from including kid meals. Bring a blanket and join us!

Book Fair
The Historic Anaheim Campus's twice yearly Book Fair will begin on Monday, September 17th. Students will have a preview of the Book Fair during their PE class on Friday. Grandparent's Day
The Historic Anaheim Campus will host a celebration breakfast for all of our grandparents on Wednesday, September 19th at 8:30am. Festivities will kick off with our weekly flag salute presented by Mrs. Luckham's class. Immediately following flag salute, there will be a continental breakfast served on the back playground. After breakfast, students will have a chance to give their grandparents a tour of the campus, visit their classroom, and stop by the book fair. Please contact your child's homeroom teacher for an RSVP form.
Shadow Days at Fairmont Prep This month, our 8th graders are invited to participate in a special Shadow Day opportunity at Fairmont Preparatory Academy! Shadow Days help our 8th graders prepare for high school by experiencing a day in the life of a Fairmont Prep student. On your student's scheduled Shadow Day, you will drop him or her off at Fairmont Prep at 7:45am. Then your student will participate in a full day of classes at Fairmont Prep accompanied by a classmate with similar interests and a trained Fairmont Prep Student Ambassador. You are encouraged to stay after drop-off and have a personally guided tour around the Fairmont Prep campus with Admissions Director Christine Steele. She will be happy to answer any of your questions. At the end of the day, you may return and pick up your student Fairmont Prep at 2:35pm.
The dates of your student's visit will be organized by his or her junior high. They will send you notice of the original date scheduled for your student. You will be able to make adjustments directly with the junior high. Our 8th graders will hear more information and have the chance to register for Shadow Days in their homerooms. Please encourage them to take advantage of this unique opportunity!

Feature Article
Date: Saturday, September 22nd
Time: 4:30pm Location: Yorba Linda High School
Our Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten students from all campuses have been invited to sing the National Anthem Saturday, September 22nd at 5:00pm before kick-off at the Preparatory Academy football game. We ask that all students who are interested in participating check in no later than 4:30p m at the front of the stadium with Ms. Christina Dodson from the Historic Anaheim Preschool to receive your wristband. Students are to wear their uniform shirt with jeans. Fun activities for kids will start at 5:00pm. There will be a bounce house, balloon animals, face painting, and more! Food will be available at the Snack Shack as well. Students and their families are encouraged to stay and root for the Fairmont Huskies.
