Citron's Family Auction and Carnival will be Friday, May 11th from 5:30pm-7:30pm. There will be carnival fun for the whole family with games, face painting, cotton candy, bounce house, balloons, and more! Buy your tickets early. Adults are $5 and children are $3. FPA Election Nominations
We need your help in nominating potential Fairmont Parent Association Board Members for the 2012-2013 school year. We need positive, enthusiastic parents who share our goal of providing the wonderful "extras" for our campus. The following Board positions are open: Vice-President, Secretary and Ways and Means. Check your child's backpack for the nomination form. Please obtain the nominee's approval prior to submitting a name. Feel free to nominate yourself. Return all forms to the FPA Box by April 30th.
Kindergarten Graduation Cap & Gown Orders
It is amazing how fast the Kindergarten year has gone! It is almost time for graduation and another celebration of great achievement. We need to order caps and gowns early to get the best price. The package is $20.00. It includes the cap, gown, and a 2012 tassel. It is not necessary to specify size since they are sold by height and you child's height has already been measured. Full payment is due by Friday, May 4th. Payment can be turned into the wooden Activities box in the Front Office.

 Special Announcement: Fairmont Family Night @ Angels Stadium
Don't forget, this Friday April 20 is Fairmont Family Night at Angels Stadium! We can't wait to see all our families there. As you may know, we have a star baseball player at Fairmont Prep this year named Felipe Perez. He helped lead the USA Baseball 16U Team to victory against Mexico in 2010, and he has already accepted a position on the UCLA Baseball team for the fall. We will be congratulating him during the game with the message CONGRATULATIONS FELIPE PEREZ. FAIRMONT TO UCLA up on the stadium screens during the 4th inning. We invite you all to show your Fairmont pride and stand up to cheer when the message comes up!

The Citron Campus will celebrate "Week of the Young Child" April 23rd - April 27th. "Week of the Young Child" is a time to recognize and promote early learning whether at home, school or in the community. The following are different activities that we will have each day of next week: Monday, April 23rd: Safety Day
The Fire Department is planning a special visit to the Citron Campus.
Tuesday, April 24th: Career Day
Children can come dressed in something they would like to be when they grow up. Parents may come and speak about their career.
Wednesday, April 25th: Candy Gram Day
Students and parents will have the chance to send a candy gram to friends or teachers. Grams will be available for purchase in the office.
Thursday, April 26th: Pajama Day and Family Reading Night
Come dressed in pajamas and join us from 5:30pm-6:30pm for Family Reading Night.
Friday, April 27th: Multi-Cultural Day Celebration
Children can wear their cultural attire and bring food from their culture. During Lunch children will enjoy an international luncheon.

Mable Campus Corner
Citron to Mable Campus Tours
If you have not yet had the opportunity, there is a chance for parents to have an Open Tour of the Mable Campus every Wednesday from 10:00am to 11:00am. Mrs. Christie DuVall, Mable's Director of Admissions, will be glad to show you around the campus. You are welcome to come and take a look where your children will be next year. Citron to Mable Campus Transition Conference
As we complete re-enrollment, we would like to invite you to complete your Junior Kindergarten into Kindergarten or Kindergarten into First Grade transition conference at your earliest convenience. These conferences offer an excellent opportunity to learn about the Mable Campus' First Grade program and have all of your questions answered. Please call or e-mail Ms. Rafat to schedule your conference as soon as possible.
