 Congratulations, Mr. Alfred!
It is with great joy and excitement that we are announcing that Mr. Alfred, our campus maintenance manager, welcomed his first child last month. Mr. Alfred does so much for all of us, often without even being asked. Babies have many needs and this can be overwhelming for new parents emotionally as well as financially. In an effort to support this new family the Citron FPA is accepting donations towards the purchase for a gift card to Babies 'R' Us. The Citron FPA plans to congratulate him and present him with this gift at our flag salute on Friday, March 2nd. All donations are optional. If you would like to make a donation, please place your donation in an envelope and write "Mr. Alfred" on the front by Wednesday, February 29th. Any check can be made out to the FPA. Even if you are unable to donate, be sure to wish Mr. Alfred your congratulations.
Re-Enrollment
Royal Court Re-Enrollment is almost over! Today is the last day to turn in your re-enrollment contract for priority registration. Every Citron student who re-enrolls will not only be a part of morning announcements and receive a special treat, but they will also help their classroom percentage. The classroom with the highest re-enrollment will earn an additional prize. Results will be displayed on the Royal Guard board located in the main lobby. Remember if we reach our overall goal we will have a party that will rival that of true royalty, with a magical Royal Waltz lesson from our very own Mrs. Douglas!
Chalk Talk: How To Keep Your Kids Safe Online

The Internet offers limitless opportunities for young learners, but it can be a dangerous place if children lack key safety rules. Join Monique Nelson, Chief Operating Officer of OC-based Web Wise Kids to learn how to keep your kids safe as they surf the web. Young children are welcome, child care will be provided.
Bunny Photos
The Citron FPA is offering the convenience and ease of professionally taken photos of your children with the Easter bunny at the Citron Campus on the morning of Thursday, March 1st. We encourage you to bring all your children even if they do not attend Citron. We are delighted that a fellow Fairmont parent and professional photographer, Frank Salas, has generously offered his services. Extra forms are available in the front office. Please let your child's teacher know if they will be taking photos.

Join us on Friday, April 20th at 7:05 pm at Angel Stadium, Angels vs. Baltimore Orioles. Tickets are on sale for $16 each with seating in the Left Field Pavilion. It's Big Bang Fireworks Friday! Extra order forms are available in the front office or you can print it out at home. Please fill out your form and turn it in to the wooden Activities box. Open House
At this time of year we reflect upon the progress our students have made. We love to witness the joy on their faces as they proudly share their accomplishments with family and friends. The campus is a wonderland of bulletin boards and displays depicting a variety of themes. Our team of dedicated staff and teachers commit hours to making sure Open House highlights the best we have to offer. There are projects on the desks and an array of objects hanging from the ceilings. Let your children guide you around; this is their home away from home. Ask them questions about their work and school. Take this time to mingle with other parents and meet your student's friends.
Our Open House is March 16th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Remember to mark your calendars and invite your friends; we can arrange a personal tour for them.

Mable Campus Corner
Mrs. Calabria assists Kindergarteners at Move-Up Day last Friday
Junior Kindergarten to Kindergarten Family Picnic & Visit Day
Thank you to everyone who joined us today at the Mable campus. Students had a great time meeting the Mable campus director, Mrs. Calabria; taking pictures with Rocky, the campus mascot; and going on a campus tour. They even had the opportunity to rotate around the specialty classes - Library with Mrs. Kuka, Computers with Ms. Kelbaugh, and Science with Mrs. Baham. Then everyone joined together for a picnic on the playground.
Citron to Mable Campus Transition Conference
As we prepare for re-enrollment, we would like to invite you to complete your Junior Kindergarten into Kindergarten or Kindergarten into First Grade transition conference at your earliest convenience. Conferences begin February 13, 2012 and continue through March 2, 2012. These conferences offer an excellent opportunity to learn about the Mable Campus' First Grade program and have all of your questions answered. Please call or e-mail Ms. Rafat to schedule your conference as soon as possible.
Mable Campus Open House
Save the date! Mable's Open House is just around the corner. Please join us Friday, March 9th at 6:00pm. Mable's Open House will give you the opportunity to meet the faculty, staff, and families. You will be able to tour the campus and attend presentation to experience what makes Mable so special.
