 Congratulations, Mr. Alfred!
It is with great joy and excitement that we are announcing that Mr. Alfred, our campus maintenance manager, welcomed his first child last month. Mr. Alfred does so much for all of us, often without even being asked. Babies have many needs and this can be overwhelming for new parents emotionally as well as financially. In an effort to support this new family the Citron FPA is accepting donations towards the purchase for a gift card to Babies 'R' Us. The Citron FPA plans to congratulate him and present him with this gift at our flag salute on Friday, March 2nd. All donations are optional. If you would like to make a donation, please place your donation in an envelope and write "Mr. Alfred" on the front. Any check can be made out to the FPA. Even if you are unable to donate, be sure to wish Mr. Alfred your congratulations.
Jog-A-Thon
On Wednesday, February 22nd students will join together in a campus wide spirit event. The Jog-A-Thon encourages exercise and also helps raise funds for the Citron Fairmont Parent Association to support activities throughout the year. We hope that family and friends will consider being a sponsor for your child's Jog-A-Thon efforts. Sponsorship can be in the form of a monetary pledge per lap run or a flat sponsorship. Extra sponsorship forms are available in the front office. Please turn in all pledge forms to the FPA Mail Box no later than Tuesday, February 21st. This will be a free dress day. Students are encouraged to wear athletic gear and comfortable shoes that they can run in.
Fairmont Family Night
Join us on Friday, April 20th at 7:05 pm at Angel Stadium, Angels vs. Baltimore Orioles. Tickets are on sale for $16 each with seating in the Left Field Pavilion. It's Big Bang Fireworks Friday! Extra order forms are available in the front office or you can print it out at home. Please fill out your form and turn it in to the wooden Activities box. Contact Ms. Dodson for more information at cdodson@fairmontschools.com. Ticket Order Deadline ends March 1st. Don't delay, order today!

As Fairmont enters its 60th year of educating young minds we would like to express our sincere gratitude to our families for being a part of our learning community. As a Fairmont family, you are an important component of our tradition of academic excellence. We look forward to continuing the journey with your family for the 2012-2013 school year.
By now, you should have received your registration packet. If not, please contact the Admissions Office. Every Citron family, who re-enrolls by the Priority Registration deadline of February 24th, will be entered into raffle drawings for a chance to win "Director for a Day", and a "Premium Parking" space for one month.
On Friday, March 4th, we will be having our Royal Re-Enrollment Celebration and flag salute assembly. At this time Mrs. Douglas will teach the children to Dance the Royal Waltz if we have made our re-enrollment goal.
In addition, the names of nine lucky families will be drawn to receive a "Premium Parking" space. Each family will be awarded a "Premium Parking" space for one month from September 2012 through May 2013 We will also draw for the "Director for a Day". We will announce all the lucky winners in our weekly e-blast newsletter.
Priority Registration is offered to let you know that you are a "priority" to us. We look forward to having you continue as part of the Fairmont family, and thank you for your continued trust and allowing us to educate your child.

Mable Campus Corner
Kindergarten Buddy Lunch
Citron Kindergarteners traveled once again to the Mable Campus today. They rotated around the specialty classes - Art with Mrs. Gormin, Computers with Ms. Kelbaugh, Science with Mrs. Baham and Library with Ms. Lloyd and Ms. Kuka. They then had pizza with their First Grade buddies in the Mable cafeteria. The Mable Campus can't wait to welcome these little ones next year!
Junior Kindergarten to Kindergarten Family Picnic & Visit DayPlease be our guests for lunch at Fairmont's Mable campus for an all American good time. After lunch, parents will have the opportunity to meet our faculty and staff, tour the campus and take a peek at what your child will be up to next year! Citron to Mable Campus Transition Conference
As we prepare for re-enrollment, we would like to invite you to complete your Junior Kindergarten into Kindergarten or Kindergarten into First Grade transition conference at your earliest convenience. Conferences begin February 13, 2012 and continue through March 2, 2012. These conferences offer an excellent opportunity to learn about the Mable Campus' First Grade program and have all of your questions answered. Please call or e-mail Ms. Rafat to schedule your conference as soon as possible.
