Exploring FishbowlsCalendar Update
Please note the Dr. Okawachi Dental Health Presentation scheduled for Wednesday, February 8th has been rescheduled due to a scheduling conflict. The new date for the presentation is Monday, February 6th.

Royal Court Re-Enrollment kicked off last week with our first fun Friday, School Spirit all the way! Every Citron student who re-enrolls will not only be a part of morning announcements and receive a special treat, but they will also help their classroom percentage. The classroom with the highest re-enrollment will earn an additional prize. Results will be displayed on the Royal Guard board located in the main lobby. Remember if we reach our overall goal we will have a party that will rival that of true royalty, with a magical Royal Waltz lesson from our very own Mrs. Douglas!

Character Counts

Can anyone guess which Character Counts pillar represents February? It's CARING!

Caring is represented by the color red on our Character Counts wall as we continue to recognize the children's efforts in the area of Fairness, Respect, and Trustworthiness.

CARING means to be kind, be compassionate, show you care, express gratitude, forgive others, and to help people in need. Together with the help of our campus mascot, "Hero", the students will gain an understanding of the importance of good character.

Spotlight News

Room 4 Contributes to Penny Wars

The FPA is proud to present our last community service event of this school year! We will be contributing to the Anaheim Police Department K-9 Foundation. 100% of the money raised will go directly towards taking care of special K-9 friends upon their retirement from the Anaheim police department, along with additional training classes the K-9's require throughout the semester.

We will be fundraising by conducting a "Penny War" between all of the classrooms. Each classroom will have a jar which will be located in the lobby of the school which will be for collecting coins or dollar bills. The value of the pennies collected by the classroom will count positively towards that classrooms' point total, while the value of coins other than pennies or dollar bills will be subtracted from that classrooms' point total. The Penny War will run from February 1st through February 15th.

In March we will have the Anaheim Police Department K-9 unit come to our school to have a special presentation for all of our students. During this presentation we will present them with a check from the money earned from this fundraiser.
