Aquarium of the Pacific The Aquarium of the Pacific visited the Citron Campus this week!. We were first introduced to the animals through a slide show that taught the students about sea life and the many different shaped friends we could find like squares (sting rays), circles (sea anemones), and triangles (shark fins). The most exciting part came when the students had the chance to walk inside the aquarium truck and touch the baby sharks, squishy sea cucumbers, and the sea anemone that felt like sticky spaghetti. The students learned that all animals should be respected and some, like sharks, should be left alone. We would like to thank all the families who participated in our school fundraising efforts and to our amazing Parent Board for allowing our students this hands-on learning experience. Who knows, we might have a few future marine biologists among us.
Permanent Impressions - Safety I.D. Kit Permanent Impressions is a child safety company that offers a child safety packet that is formatted specifically for the Department of Justice database and local authorities. On Tuesday, January 31st there will be a law enforcement representative on campus to administer the fingerprinting and deliver the packets. Royal Court Re-Enrollment kicked off this week with our first fun Friday, School Spirit all the way! Every Citron student who re-enrolls will not only be a part of Morning announcements and receive a special treat, but they will also help their classroom percentage. The classroom with the highest re-enrollment will earn an additional prize. Results will be displayed on the Royal Guard board located in the main lobby. Remember if we reach our overall goal we will have a party that will rival that of true royalty, with a magical Royal Waltz lesson from our very own Mrs. Douglas! |
