Thanksgiving Meal ProjectThanksgiving Meal Project
As you know, the Fairmont Parents Association has teamed up with the City of Anaheim's "Thanksgiving Meal Project" in preparation for the celebration of the Thanksgiving Holiday. The food we collected will help deserving families celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday directly in the community where our children attend school!  We are proud to announce that we collected enough food to feed 30 families! Thank you for your contributions.

CHOC Toy Drive
The spirit of the holiday season is underway and it's almost time for our Annual Toy Drive. It will kick off Monday, November 28th and end Friday, December 9th. Please check your child's backpack next week for more information.

Native American Projects

Beginning Monday, November 21st, Citron students will kick-off a great week of Thanksgiving celebrations.

On Monday our students will be served a delicious Thanksgiving lunch with all the trimmings. This year's feast includes: slow roasted turkey break, mashed potatoes, stuffing, buttered corn, cranberry sauce, and fresh apple pie. Feast Day will be a free dress day for all students. We would like to extend an invitation to our families if they are able to attend. Preschool and Pre-K lunch will be served at 11:00am. Junior Kindergarten lunch will be served at 11:30am. Kindergarten lunch will be served at 12:00pm.

On Tuesday, November 22nd, Jacque Nunez will visit campus. The children will experience real California Native American Culture through an interactive presentation which includes music, dance, pottery, and handmade items. The children will also participate in hands-on craft projects.

We would like you to note that the campus will be CLOSED on Wednesday, November 23rd for Staff Professional Development. Thursday, November 24th and Friday, November 25th are school holidays. Due to this holiday, there will not be an eNewsletter next Friday. Please see this week's Dates to Know section for the calendar for the next two weeks.

The Citron faculty and staff hope you enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving with your friends and family.
