Miss FairmontThanksgiving Meal Project
In preparation of the Thanksgiving Holiday season the Fairmont Parent Association has teamed up with the City of Anaheim's "Thanksgiving Meal Project". The food we will be collecting will help deserving families celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday directly in the community where our children attend school! Please check your child's Friday folder for more information.

Citron Votes
On Tuesday, November 2nd, the Citron Campus will be celebrating National Election Day. All students PS - K will have the opportunity to vote as they learn about the process of choice in elections.  The children will make a tough choice between an ice cream party or a donut party. We want our students to understand the importance of voting and making their voice heard, just as many adults do.

Halloween Festivities
Our children had a great time at our Halloween Festivities this past Monday. Students had the opportunity to show off their costumes to family and friends during the parade. The Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten also enjoyed the annual Pumpkin Patch and picked their own pumpkin to take home. In the afternoon, Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten students enjoyed classroom celebrations. Please visit our Flickr site to view photos. Please also be sure to watch videos of Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten performing a special dance to Michael Jackson's "Thriller".

Character Counts - Respect

We are continuing to fill each other's buckets for our Character Counts wall. For November we will use yellow for "Respect." Our teachers have begun discussing the meaning and how the students can show "Respect" at school and home. Please partner with us and speak with your child about "Respect" and the importance of using good manners, being tolerant and accepting of differences, being considerate of others feelings, and never hitting or hurting anyone. As we recognize each child for being respectful, we will give him or her a color to add to the rainbow corresponding with the color of his or her good deed. The students will gain an understanding of the importance of good character. Check out the amazing Character Counts board in our hallway to see how many students have been respectful so far for the month of November!

Operation Candy Assembly

As many of you know the Candy Drive began Monday, October 24th. We have been collecting Halloween candy for the servicemen and servicewomen in the military. We are proud to announce that this year we collected more candy then ever!  Our small but mighty campus collected over 1,000 pounds of candy! Please visit the link above to watch the video of our contest winners. Thank you to everyone for supporting our troops this year with your donations.
