 Johnny Appleseed Day
Did you know that Johnny Appleseed spent 49 years of his life in the American wilderness planting apple seeds?
The Citron Campus will be celebrating Johnny Appleseed Day Monday, September 26th. Our classrooms will be overflowing with apples and tons of fun! There will be apple pies, apple chips, apple muffins, apple sauce, and other special apple treats. Check with your child's class Room Parent to see what your child can contribute in celebrating this special day.
Calendar Change
Please note a change in the Citron Campus Calendar for October 11th. The Calendar shows this date as School Closed. However the Citron Campus will be open for a regular school day. Please check our google calendar regularly for any changes in our schedule. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and we appreciate your understanding.

Feature Article Room Parent Luncheon
 The Citron Campus Room Parent Volunteers met and coordinated with campus administrators at our annual room-parent luncheon this week. Room Parents are a vital component of our campus as they support many of the activities and events that we are able to bring to our students. Fall marks the gateway to a festive and busy holiday season and the Citron Campus would like to express our appreciation in advance to all of our wonderful parents that volunteer and give of their time to make every day an amazing experience! |

Fun with Apples in Room 3 and Room 4
The Citron Campus has been overrun with apples in preparation for Johnny Appleseed Day. Kindergarteners in Room 3 and Room 4 have started a seed study.. Room 4 dissected lima beans this week. They soaked their lima beans in water until they popped open and then the students labeled the parts of the seed. Room 3 is growing their own seeds and learning the parts of a plant. Throughout the week both classes have tasted apples and made a graph to determine which apple was the most popular among the students. The fuji apple scored the highest in Room 3. Ask your child what they know about apples. You'll be surprised at what they've already learned! |
