 Thanksgiving at Citron
Citron students had a great week starting their Thanksgiving celebrations. On Monday our students and their guests were served a delicious Thanksgiving lunch with all the trimmings. This year's feast included: hot sliced turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, cranberry sauce, and fresh apple pie. It was delicious!
Then on Tuesday, Jacque Nunez came to our campus. The children experienced California Native American Culture through an interactive presentation which included music, dance, pottery, and handmade items. The children also participated in hands-on craft projects. Jacque's son even joined her on stage in a full Native American costume to play the flute while Jacque taught the students and staff a warrior dance. The Citron faculty and staff hope you enjoy the rest of your Thanksgiving week. |
