Ready, Set, Run!
Jog-A-Thon News

Jog-A-ThonA huge "Thank You" to all the parents and volunteers for a great jog-a-thon!  We loved seeing all the parents come out and cheer for the children! All the students did such an amazing job running as fast as they could and trying to get as many laps as possible run in 5 minutes. There were as many as 10 laps by preschool students and 20 plus laps by an elementary student. The Citron Campus would also like to thank all the family and friends who sponsored children and helped with our jog-a-thon fundraiser. Great job everyone!
Preschool is Watching Their Gardens Grow

Preschool GardenPreschoolers love to help with all types of activities and gardening is no exception.  The children love to dig in the garden and water plants.  This year we are providing our students the opportunity to grow flowers, fruits, and vegetables in their own class gardens.  This is part of a new outdoor education component added to our preschool curriculum. Over the past week we have seen the children digging holes, gently patting the soil around newly placed plants and watering. Even though we have installed a drip system the students are watering their own plants. We have taken care to include only child-safe plants in our gardens.  Our collection of gardening tools is just beginning and we would appreciate any donations especially small watering cans or any kid-sized gardening implements.
Fairmont Homestay Program

HomestayGive your family an international experience without ever leaving home. The Homestay Program is hosting our next information night next Wednesday, October 13th at 6:30 pm in the Preparatory Academy Theater.

We will be discussing this wonderful opportunity, what we expect of our host families, what you can expect from the program, and we will detail the support that Fairmont provides our host families and students.

We have both long term and short term hosting opportunities available.  If you have been considering hosting a student but are not ready to make a 10 month commitment, we now have wonderful opportunities to host groups of students coming for short term educational visits.

Please RSVP to Christie Dembek at cdembek@fairmontschools.com or call 714-999-5055 x1427
