What better way to begin our season than to have our founder and vision keeper, Molly Barker with us at a Barnstormers game to celebrate the beginning of our 3rd year and the 1,019 girls the program has reached in two short years????
Thank you to all who attended! Special gratitude to Stacey Fitzpatrick (photographer), the Barnstormers (especially Jon, Kristen, Vince and Liz), Dillerville Subway, Jeremy Weiss at CI Records, the members of the Fundraising Committee, and our volunteers who sold tickets and merchandise.

These Girls on Track (Anna, Molly Barker, Cierra, Teresa-pictured, and Katie, Savannah and Teagan) from Fritz Elementary started a summer running group that met every Wednesday. "Running has become one of our favorite sports and made us closer, we all participate in different activities and we found that running has become the connection that brings us together," Anna shared.
Great idea, girls!

Fundraising Information........
The annual United Way campaign is a great way to support Girls on the Run as your charitable recipient (just write-in Girls on the Run of Lancaster).
Fundraising at its best: Three motivated and enterprising girls from the Buchanan GOTR team held a Lemonade Stand and donated their proceeds to our scholarship fund! Here is what their card said: "Dear Carrie and Jennifer, The PSA (commercial filming) today made Keyshleen, Makeda and I want to do a lemonade stand to raise some money for GOTR. We made $11.50!! From, Maggie PS. The door on the front symbolizes a door to a better world for many more girls because of Girls on the Run. Let's give a big energy cheer to these girls!
