O Lord, you have taught us that without love whatever we do is worth nothing: Send your Holy Spirit and pour into our hearts your greatest gift, which is love, the true bond of peace and of all virtue, without which whoever lives is accounted dead before you. Grant this for the sake of your only Son Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Dearly Beloved in Christ,
We have a tendency in our era to understand the word "law" in terms of prohibitions, and oftentimes as something that prevents us from doing what we would really like to do. We can also have a rather jaundiced regard for the law as something that is weighted in favor of those who can afford to manipulate the system.
God's law is so very different. God's law is founded on his holy and perfect character - it is the active outworking of his love that provides wholeness for his people. The Psalmist pleads for God to fully instruct him in his law which he loves "more than gold and precious stones."
Beloved in Christ, God's perfect law of love now resides within us, it is no longer external, but an internal reality through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit for whom our bodies are a temple (1 Cor. 6:19). The question is to what extent do we cooperate with the law of love dwelling within us? Our free will was not wrested from us at baptism when we received the Holy Spirit. We can choose the extent to which we surrender ourselves to the outworking of the law of love that has taken up residence within us.
The more we cooperate, the more we sense God's presence with us. The more we cooperate, the more whole we become. The more we cooperate the more fully we are able to receive the blessings that God has already given us.
Jesus tells us that this law of love requires that we do not personally seek to take revenge on those who have harmed us, indeed that we are to return their evil with a decision to love. He is not talking about manufacturing a feeling that does not exist, but through an act of the will allowing the Holy Spirit to love through us. He does not say it is easy - but he has provided us with an example: reviled, scourged, spat upon, and crucified he chose to love those who had harmed him "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." May we do likewise.
"Pour into our hearts your greatest gift, which is love, the true bond of peace and of all virtue, without which whoever lives is accounted dead before you."
In His Peace, Grace, and Love, Rev'd Sarah+

Diocesan Search Process
A Central Deanery Forum will be held Sunday April 3rd, 5:00 PM at All-Saints Winter Park in the Thomas Center. This is an open forum for clergy and laity. It is hoped that discussions at this and other deanery forums will help in the creation of our Diocesan Profile for the Search for a New Bishop. The Deans and Presidents will summarize these discussions with those in attendance and send the summaries to the Profile Committee.
For more information on the search process please go to the diocesan website: Bishop Search Central Florida Diocese

Confirmation/Reception/Reaffirmation Classes in preparation for the Bishop's Visitation
On Saturday, March 5 at 3:00 pm we will start an 8-week series of classes in preparation for the Bishop's visitation on May 8. These classes are open to anyone. They are particularly designed for people who have been baptized and would like to be confirmed by the laying on of hands by the Bishop. They are also appropriate for those who would like to be received into the Episcopal Church from a denomination in the Apostolic Succession where they have already been confirmed. These classes are also appropriate for members of the church who have been confirmed, but have fallen away from the church for a season, or for those who feel called to make a new beginning in their spiritual life by making a public reaffirmation of their Baptismal Covenant. Classes will be held in Roberta's Hall from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm beginning Saturday, March 5.

National Register of Historic Places
"The 1882-1883 church is an excellent example of the Carpenter Gothic variant of the Late Gothic Revival Style, and was typical of early Florida settlers' use of local materials .... Original 1884 stained glass windows are executed in the Aesthetic Style, and are exceptional examples of this rare type of design."
This description is part of the packet that was compiled by Robert Jones and has been submitted to Washington, DC for final approval.
We are so very thankful to Robert Jones for all his fine research work and writing. For more information on the Historical Context, Architectural Significance, and Art Significance of the Chapel please follow this link to the .pdf file on our website: National Register Application
