Dearly Beloved in Christ,
I am writing this in the departure lounge of Orlando airport on December 26th on my way to the UK to visit my mother.  With the aid of technology I can write this today and schedule it to be sent out on January 3rd - which is, hopefully, when you are reading it!  The flight leaves shortly so I don't have a long time to think about a reflection, but in looking over the lections I find I don't have to say anything other than what the Apostle Paul wrote to his congregation in Ephesus.  It is a timeless message to all of you:

"I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, and for this reason I do not cease to give thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers. I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him, so that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance among the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power for us who believe."  Ephesians 1:15-19a
