The cool fall air and gorgeous fall colours - it's really my favorite time of year! Everything seems to so crisp and vibrant!
September has been a busy month, welcoming a number of new families - including our first Vernon family - and streamlining our product lines (bringing some new items in and clearing out others).
Our focus for October is to sign up new families from Vernon through to Penticton - showing them that cloth diapering is EASY, affordable and oh so much better for our babies and our planet. We are launching a really cool contest to help with this mission - check out the details below!
We've had a huge jump in the purchase of wool covers since our September article about night-time diapering and ALL of the feedback has been really positive - have you tried wool? Be sure to fill out a customer review for any products you've purchased recently - this helps everyone know more before they buy and it helps us decide which products to keep selling!

Tidy Tushees Sponsorship

This little fellow is a 2 month preemie, he was born in the hospital to a 19 year old mother, who had a c section to save her own life due to rare pregnancy complications...she came home 24 hours later to a little 14 x 18 concrete house with no protection from mosquitoes and bacteria...against all odds he is doing quite well and gaining steadily - weighing a whopping 3lbs 15oz today...
He is her first baby and she appears to be a good mamma so far.
your baby will receive formula and pampers and vitamins etc up to the age of 4 months, the cereal will be added to the package for him. If you send special requests for him we will be sure he receives them and we will send regular updates and pictures so you can follow his progress..thank you so much for saving the life of one tiny little Haitian baby in the Dominican Republic.

Car Seat Safety
Being married to a firefighter means that I hear some tragic stories of families injured in car accidents. Car seat safety is CRUCIAL, but often very confusing.One of the common errors my husband is always commenting on is seeing the handles "up" on infant carriers while the vehicle is in operation. While there are varying thoughts on this - most manufacturers, car seat safety experts and most importantly emergency responders recommend that this handle always be placed in the locked (back) position so that it is not above the baby. There are documented cases of severe injury - even decapitation - when the handle has been left in the "carry" position and the vehicle has been involved in an accident. Be sure to check your manufacturer's instructions. For some great resources on car seat safety, visit General Child Seat SafetyKeep Kids SafeYou can also visit the Kelowna Main Fire Hall at 2255 Enterprise Way on Saturdays from 1pm - 3pm for a car seat safety inspection. Please note that this is an inspection only - they will not install the car seat for you, however they will give you pointers on safe installation and they will check to see if your seat(s) have had any recalls issued.
If you don't live in the Kelowna area - consider contacting your local fire department to see if they offer a similar service and the best time to stop by.

Service Customer Reminders
If you don't fill out your tag, we don't
know how many diapers to deliver! You should have a maximum of 6 diapers & wipes left
each week. Let us know if we
need to adjust your order.
We don't want you running out of diapers! Call or email us if you are
running low...but don't leave it to the last diaper!
Our
machines are not designed to launder q-tips, bio-liners,plastic bags, toy cars or disposable diapers. Please be careful about what goes in your pail! Our lost and found is full of unclaimed covers.
We recommend that you use a laundry marker and put
your name in your covers so we can return them if they
end up mixed in with your diapers - be sure to claim your covers quickly as we are putting everything up
for sale in our Gently Used section after 4 weeks and donate the proceeds to charity!

x-small 3lbs - 8lbs
small 7lbs - 13lbs
medium 12lbs - 22lbs
large 20lbs - 30lbs
x-large 30lbs - 46lbs
