Greetings!

It's been an awesome, mind-expanding and wonderful few months here in the third dimension!!
Scientists believe they've discovered the "God Particle," and to explain just what the heck that is I defer to the beautiful brains at Sci-Tech Today.com.
A holistic nurse who created the Department of Integrative Health Care at Mission Hospital in the Asheville, NC area is taking her groundbreaking work a step further. Lourdes Lorenz is working on her doctorate, which will develop a template for all hospitals across the nation to implement a similar complimentary care facility. Can you imagine a nurse leading you in a guided meditation while you're being prepped for surgery, or listening to live harp music while you're getting chemo? It's already happening here, people, and could be coming to hospitals near you soon.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old girl from Florida has created an artificial brain that can accurately detect breast cancer in tissue samples. SHE'S STILL IN HIGH SCHOOL!!! And she's living proof that kids today are smarter, more intuitive and more connected than we were, which gives all of us a reason to feel wonderful about the future.
A recent column in the Huffington Post said, "It's likely that 2012 could be the year when investment in renewable energy (not counting hydropower) will surpass fossil fuels, signaling a profound shift toward a global clean energy economy."
Of course there are scary things happening too. But as I've been told in meditations for decades, "It's all about the consciousness." Wherever we direct our focus and intent, that becomes our reality.
"Keep your face to the Sun, and you will not see the shadow" is an old Australian aboriginal proverb. Yes, there are definitely shadows, and we're certainly not pretending they're not there. But we can make a conscious choice to seek out and encourage the positive, the sustainable, the healthy and joyful things unfolding in the world, too. It's all about balance, and actively cultivating the potential for those wonderful things to reveal themselves.
2012 certainly seems to be the ideal year to remember that.
