Greetings!
A few years ago, a very clever list circulating in cyberspace was titled, "How to Keep a Healthy Level of Insanity." It included such gems as, "When the money comes out of the ATM, scream, 'I WON! I WON! Third time this week!'"
Another favorite was, "Specify that your drive-thru order is 'to go.'" But the best one, in my opinion, was "Finish all your sentences with, 'In accordance to the prophecy.'" While that was hysterically funny a number of years ago, at the moment it seems --- wellllll --- prophetic.
An earthquake rattled the entire east coast a few weeks ago, literally rocking my world from my Western North Carolina mountain home. Millions of folks further up the east coast were flooded and without power in the wake of Hurricane Irene's deadly wrath. More tropical storms are hatching over the Atlantic. Out of control wildfires have devoured over 1,000 homes in Texas as heat waves and droughts grip the nation and the world. All eyes are watching the violent struggle for freedom in numerous countries.
In accordance with many prophecies, we have already begun the transition into a New Earth. December 21, 2012 is not "the date," say some oracles -- rather, this October 28 is the crucial marker. We shall see. But in the meantime, what's a soul to do?
The way I see it, we each have a choice. We can give in to fear and just "check out" mentally, emotionally and spiritually, or we can choose to stay conscious, and mindful, and positive. Change is always scary, whether it's taking the training wheels off your bike, or taking the blinders off your eyes. But seeing the whole picture, with all the limitless possibilities, is as exhilarating as peddling out into the world without those extra wheels that provide a little more security at the price of a lot of freedom.
For decades, when I've prayed about the significance of 2012, the divine answer was always the same -- "It's all about the consciousness." That's why I continue to encourage the idea of being simultaniously realistic and optimistic. Yes, we're in the middle of transformational changes, and that also gives us transformational opportunities. The biggest opportunity, I feel, is to own your passion, and embrace your truth.
Every book or article you read, every workshop you attend, every documentary you watch, is someone else's opinion. It's what they believe at the time because of the meaning they give to things. My challenge to you is, what's YOUR opinion? What does your heart tell you? What do YOU feel is important? And after you answer that, how are you honoring your truth and living your authentic life?
Sing your song. Dance your dance. Share your truth. You're an important part of the Whole. Don't sacrifice your emotional and spiritual passion and freedom for what you think might be a little more security. Trust me -- it's not. Instead, it's truly all about the consciousness -- according to the prophecy.
Live in the mystery. Embrace your magic. It's time.
Hugs,
